Skeletal system and joints: bone, skull, trunk and limb joints
The vocabulary of the skeleton and its joints: how bone tissue is built, grows and repairs itself; the bones and openings of the skull and of the trunk; and the joints of the whole body — the joints of the limbs (shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle) included, not only those of the skull and trunk. Terms are drawn from the end-of-chapter glossaries of chapters 6, 7 and 9, and this deck covers only the beginning of the alphabet: it runs from “acetabular labrum” to “remodeling”, so terms from s to z (sacrum, sternum, suture, synovial joint, vertebral column…) are absent.

此牌组在导入时经过修改: Entries were taken from the Key Terms glossaries of chapters 6, 7, 9 and gathered into one deck; the chapter structure of the book is not reproduced. HTML formatting was stripped to plain text. Entries were dropped when the definition is shorter than 25 characters, longer than 400 characters, refers to a figure, a table or another chapter, or repeats a definition already kept; a term already used by another Memoquiz deck built from these books was dropped as well, and each deck is capped at 150 entries. The wording of every definition that was kept is unchanged. This deck is a rebuild of a deck that had been withdrawn from the catalogue after review found factual errors coming from the source. A second, much stricter filter was applied on top of the one described above: every card carrying a digit was dropped, and with it every date, quantity and figure; so were time-dependent wordings, multiple-choice turns of phrase, negative questions, answers made of a single ambiguous word or a bare acronym, and cards duplicating — in either direction — a card already served by another deck in this catalogue. Nothing was rewritten: a card was either kept as the source wrote it, or dropped. After an adversarial review of this rebuild, three further cards were removed and none was edited: “diploë”, whose definition is agrammatical in the source (“sandwiched between two the layers of compact bone”) and unreadable on a card; “condyle”, whose term is generic while the definition given is the mandibular condyle alone, next to a “condylar process of the mandible” card already present; and “articular disc”, whose definition ends on a claim that is false of a meniscus (“strongly unites the bones together”). Correcting a definition would mean departing from the source without being able to show it, so these cards were dropped rather than reworded. The deck stops at “remodeling” for reasons internal to the build, not because of the 150-entry cap; the missing s–z terms are stated in the description rather than silently implied. Cards are served in one direction only (term to definition): many definitions here differ from one another by a single bone name, so the reverse direction would not be reliably answerable.
