Wars, treaties, rulers and turning points, from the community-built Open Trivia Database. The hard tier of the database: dates, names and details that reward a reader who already knows the ground. One question per card, answered in full: the multiple-choice distractors are dropped. The community wording is reproduced verbatim, minor typographic quirks included, because a source card is never rewritten here; an entry found to teach a wrong fact is removed instead.

Este mazo se modificó al incorporarlo: The database was queried one difficulty tier at a time, and each multiple-choice question turned into a single card, "question -> full answer": the three distractors are dropped, as they make no sense in active recall. Removed as well: questions that refer to the list of choices or to a missing picture, questions with no question mark, questions whose answer is tied to a moment in time (including "best-selling", "of all time" and other record superlatives), true-or-false items, answers of a single character or beginning as a sentence fragment, restatements of a question already in the pack, pairs of cards that are the same fact asked in both directions, and questions already served by another Open Trivia Database pack in this catalogue. HTML entities served by the API were decoded and invisible whitespace stripped. No question or answer text was rewritten: a faulty entry is removed, never corrected. Because nothing is rewritten, the community spelling and typography of the surviving entries is left as the source wrote it — "63 Days", "the early 1880's", "Post cards", "Mayans" — which is cosmetic and teaches nothing false. A later adversarial re-reading of this pack removed four further entries whose content was wrong rather than untidy: the flying shuttle dated to 1738 (John Kay's patent is 1733), Hispania given to Lepidus in 42 BCE (after Philippi he held Africa alone), Gus Grissom as the first man in space twice (Joseph A. Walker reached space twice in 1963, before Gemini 3), and Hong Kong as "the last colony the UK ceded, marking the end of the British Empire" (a 1997 handover at the expiry of a lease, and fourteen British Overseas Territories remain).
