Key Terms from the muscular-system chapters of OpenStax Anatomy and Physiology: the structure and physiology of muscle tissue — fibres, fascicles, connective sheaths, contraction, energy metabolism, smooth and cardiac muscle — together with named skeletal muscles, the movement many of them produce, and the anatomical compartments they belong to. The source glossary is alphabetical and this deck carries the part of it that fitted the catalogue's per-deck cap: most entries fall between « abductor » and « flexor », the rest are scattered further down the alphabet. It is a slice of the chapter vocabulary, not a complete survey of the muscular system.

Ce paquet a été modifié lors de son intégration : Entries were taken from the Key Terms glossaries of chapters 10 and 11 and gathered into one deck; the chapter structure of the book is not reproduced. HTML formatting was stripped to plain text. Entries were dropped when the definition is shorter than 25 characters, longer than 400 characters, refers to a figure, a table or another chapter, or repeats a definition already kept; a term already used by another Memoquiz deck built from these books was dropped as well, and each deck is capped at 150 entries — which is why the deck stops part-way through the alphabet instead of covering the whole glossary. This deck is a rebuild of a deck that had been withdrawn from the catalogue after review found factual errors coming from the source. A second, stricter filter was applied on top of the one described above: every card carrying a digit was dropped, and with it every date, quantity and figure; so were time-dependent wordings, multiple-choice turns of phrase, negative questions, and answers made of a single ambiguous word or a bare acronym. That filter compared cards against the other decks of the catalogue but never compared cards inside this deck, so internal duplicates went through it untouched. A review on 2026-08-05 removed twelve further entries: two whose statement is contradicted by the anatomy of the region (anterior compartment of the arm, extrinsic muscles of the hand); one whose definition was word for word the definition of another card of this deck (fibularis longus, the fact being kept as fibularis brevis); one whose answer is corrupted mid-sentence (thick filament); one whose answer denies what the term names (latent period); three whose answer gives only a position relative to another muscle, with no action and no attachment (extensor digitorum longus, extensor hallucis longus, fibularis tertius); and four whose front or back cannot be read outside the chapter they were lifted from (circular, convergent, deep anterior compartment, dorsal group). Nothing was rewritten, here or before: a card was either kept as the source wrote it, or dropped.
