The appendicular skeleton (glossary A–R)
Alphabetical glossary of the appendicular skeleton: the bones of the limbs and of the girdles that anchor them, with their named landmarks and joints. The deck holds the first half of the chapter glossary, from "acetabulum" to "radius" — the entries filed after R, among them the scapula, the tibia, the ulna and the carpal bones, are not in this deck, even though earlier definitions refer to them.

Dieser Stapel wurde bei der Aufnahme verändert: Entries were taken from the end-of-chapter glossary of chapter 8 (The Appendicular Skeleton); the chapter structure of the book is not reproduced. HTML formatting was stripped to plain text. An entry was dropped when its definition is shorter than 30 characters or longer than 400 characters, when it contains an image, a table or a mathematical formula that is not reproduced here, when it refers to a figure, a table or another chapter, when it is dated by wording such as "currently" or "as of", or when it is a bare cross-reference to another term. Duplicates were removed on the term and on the definition alike, both compared after lowercasing, removing parentheses and reducing plurals to singulars; a term or a definition already used by another Memoquiz deck built from OpenStax was dropped as well. One further pair of mutually circular synonyms was removed by hand: "intertubercular groove (sulcus)", whose definition repeats that of "bicipital groove" word for word, was dropped and only "bicipital groove" kept. Each deck is capped at 150 entries and holds at least 30; because the glossary is kept in alphabetical order, that cap cut this chapter after "radius", so the deck carries the A–R half of the glossary and not the whole chapter. The wording of every definition that was kept is unchanged.
