This deck was modified when it was brought in: Entries were taken from the end-of-chapter glossaries of chapters 33 and 34 and gathered into one deck; the chapter structure of the book is not reproduced. HTML formatting was stripped to plain text. An entry was dropped when its definition is shorter than 30 characters or longer than 400 characters, when it contains an image, a table or a mathematical formula that is not reproduced here, when it refers to a figure, a table or another chapter, when it is dated by wording such as "currently" or "as of", or when it is a bare cross-reference to another term. Duplicates were removed on the term and on the definition alike, both compared after lowercasing, removing parentheses, dropping articles and short function words, and reducing plurals to singulars; a term or a definition already used by another Memoquiz deck built from OpenStax was dropped as well. A review pass then dropped six further entries: those whose glossary wording is factually wrong, those whose definition does not distinguish the term from its opposite, those whose wording is ungrammatical in the source, and those whose term cannot be recognised outside the chapter it was written for. Nothing was rewritten: an entry was either kept verbatim or removed, so the wording of every definition that remains is unchanged from the book. Each deck is capped at 150 entries and holds at least 30.
